Come join us for a relaxing and engaging 3–7 day yoga retreat.

Michelle, director of the Ashtanga Yoga Center of the Outer Banks, has studied Ashtanga Yoga with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Tim Miller, David Williams, Sharath Rangaswamy, and David Garrigues. She has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga daily uninterrupted for eight years and has a deep love for stories, myth and chanting Sanskrit. Michelle also has a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia.

Spend the week in Crawford Cottage, a beautiful vacation home on the beach located in Nags Head on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Details
- An introduction to Ashtanga Yoga, a system taught in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and the Krishnamacharya lineage. We will be learning the science, practice, and explore the nuances deeply.
- Daily led asana and pranayama (breathing exercises)
- Evening discussion and workshop class
- Two healthy meals a day plus snacks. (Sustainable, local, fresh, and organic food where possible, always with a vegetarian or fi sh option.)
- One evening demonstration on how to massage a loved one. You may reserve a professional massage for $65 at check-in.
- Optional healthy cooking class
- Scenic walking meditation (weather permitting) and journaling
- Group outings to explore the barrier island’s natural beauty and attractions.
- Spacious accommodations, 2 private dune top decks and walkways to the beach, indoor heated pool, outdoor pool, hot tub, separate smaller kitchens and refrigerators for personal use, elevator, fl at screen tvs, and internet.

As some people will be flying into the area we will attempt to put you in touch with each other and assist in arranging car pools from nearby airports. We will assist depending on interests of the attendees and what makes sense. We cannot guarantee the availability of a carpool. We will do our best.
The closest airport is Norfolk International Airport. Located in Norfolk, Virginia, approx. 90 miles north of the Outer Banks. Carriers: American, Continental, Delta, Independence Air, Northwest, Southwest, US Airways.
